alpha and omega of fashion

The fashion this year has still included quite a few items which are transparent with the most common being the transparent blouse. This is transparency makes for a very feminine article of clothing and on young women looks very good but for the slightly older woman who may have a few small bulges round her midriff it may not be so flattering for her.

For the young, these blouses should be worn with a flesh coloured bra so that it looks from afar as if they didn’t have anything on underneath, but for the older the best thing to do is to opt for a camisole top to be worn over the bra. Here it doesn’t have to be in flesh colour but in a colour that complements the colour of the blouse.

For example if the blouse was on a black background with pink and white flowers, a black camisole top would look the best. And then if the blouse was on a bottle green background with let’s say white and yellow flowers then go for a bottle green camisole.

If you have trouble finding the right colour camisole to go with your blouse, just buy a white one and then dye it to the appropriate colour. You can usually find camisoles in most lingerie departments and if you really can’t well a fine white t shirt with tiny straps will almost do the same trick, and possibly be much cheaper.

These rules simply follow the lines of the classical black cocktail dress where the actual dress finished just above the bust but then the sleeves, chest and up to the neck were covered in black transparent chiffon.

Now you can were any transparent blouse and not feel self conscious about your midriff which is the part that older women have a problem with.
